3 Material Handling Things We're Thankful For (and we hope you are too)

This time of year, it's common to reflect on what you're thankful for. While family, friends, health, and home always top the list, we were inspired to create a short list of what we're thankful for in material handling. Since 1944, we have strived to make bulk material handling cleaner, safer, and more productive...and we're grateful to be a part of that important contribution to the industry. We hope these can be beneficial to you and your operation.

Safety

Being properly informed and trained on working around conveyors is essential to ensure safe and productive practices. Productivity is important, but it shouldn't come at the expense of safety, as both can be achieved simultaneously. Whether it is a new hire or an experienced worker who's habitual and accustomed to seeing things a certain way, our Foundations™ Training Program can bring to light best practices and opportunities for improvement. With over 81 years of experience in the industry, we’ve learned a lot—and if sharing that knowledge can help others improve their operations, we’re going to do it.

We know this time of year is insanely busy, and we appreciate it when things are convenient. A majority of our training & education can be taken advantage of at your convenience.

Service

In addition to customer support, we provide a variety of in-field services. Sometimes, plants prefer that we come out and take a look and help diagnose issues they're experiencing or ensure their belt conveyor components are installed correctly. We often get asked to do a conveyor inspection and report to help point out areas of concern they might not notice. Workers gets busy and don't always have time to dedicate to preventive maintenance but that doesn't make it any less important. If regular inspections and maintenance are pushed to the back burner, bigger issues will start to present themselves in the form of premature equipment failure and unplanned downtime. Our experienced and highly-trained service crew prioritizes safety during every site visit, ensuring you remain compliant and free from regulatory risk related to service work.

Solutions

We don't just sell products. We provide solutions that will allow your operation to run at maximum efficiency. Bulk material handlers need tough, trusted, and reliable solutions in place that stand up to the challenge of fast-paced, demanding environments. We are proud to provide quality solutions that address commonly-faced issues such as carryback, material spillage, poor material flow, belt conveyor safety, fugitive material, dust, and more.

At the end of the day, returning home safely is the #1 priority. If we can help contribute to that through education, conveyor service, and effective solutions that reduce worker interaction with conveyors, that is something to be THANKFUL for!
