I seem to ponder the same question after every outing, sporting event, or road trip - "Why can't we all agree on where to eat?" If it were up to my kids, we would hit up multiple fast-food restaurants: Subway, Culver's, & Chipotle or Jimmy John's, McDonald's, & Panda Express...the combinations are endless. Growing up, we packed PB&J's for road trips, and now I know why! To them, comfortably sitting in the back seat (*equipped with cell phones as opposed to coloring books*) with no concept (*or care*) of time or money, why wouldn't we stop at multiple places?

So, earning the title of "uncool mom" (*as "Bro, Come On!" echoes from the back seat*), I explain:

1\) It is inconvenient 

2\) It is unnecessary 

3\) It is a waste of time & money

If we all go to one place, we prevent the need for multiple exits and drive-through lines. We can also save money by utilizing app rewards in the form of discounted food for being a loyal customer. "Favorites" and frequently purchased items stored within the app simplify ordering. And, with the rise in credit card convenience fees, it just makes sense to stick with one place.

### The Case for Keeping It Simple

This familiar scenario recently happened on our way home from a White Sox game *(all those options and not one that suited us all)*. So I took a stand, and we skipped all food exits and continued on the interstate to "just eat at home." We ended up having hot dogs on the grill, the perfect meal to end a weekend full of baseball games (*at least these didn't cost $8 each*).
