Why Different Color Urethane Blades?

Did you know we have five different colors of urethane that are poured in-house every day? You might be wondering why we have so many colors. No, it's not because we couldn't make up our minds.

We like orange, of course, because it's our company color. But it isn't the color that should be used in every application. Understanding that there are many situations that require certain urethane formulas to provide the most effective belt cleaning, we offer an entire line of color-coded urethanes to match performance to the application.

 

Brown: Provides resistance to chemicals and reduces water absorption for high-moisture environments. For use with materials such as pot ash, limestone, and wet sand. Temperature range: -40 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

Green: For use with high-temperature materials such as clinker. Temperature range: Continuous: -40 to 300
degrees Fahrenheit and Intermittent: 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Tan: is for low rigidty and dry products such as sand and gravel. Temperature range:-20 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

Navy Blue: Low adhesion. For use with sticky and tacky products such as cement, glass, and wood chips.
Temperature range: -20 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

And our FAVORITE color...Martin Orange: suitable for most applications, including abrasive conditions and exposure to solvents and oil. For use with: coal, ore, coke and refuse.Suitable for 80% or more of all applications. Temperature range: from -20 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
